7 Food Secrets Every Cancer Patient Should Know
I am often asked if good nutrition can help a person once they have cancer.
Of course, my answer is YES....YES....YES.
This might seem like an odd question, but nearly ALL oncologists will tell cancer patients not to take vitamins and/or eat raw fruits and vegetables while taking chemotherapy because it will interfere with the chemo.
Isn't that odd? How can you possibly look someone in the eye and tell them NOT to eat fruits and vegetables and/or take vitamins.
Here are the nutrition tips EVERY cancer patient should know. And, these tips would be good to follow to PREVENT you from getting cancer.
1) WHITE food FEEDS cancer! No sugar; no flour; no pasta; no rice; no potatoes; no cookies, cakes, crackers, etc.
2) Mushrooms are useful for treating cancer. They are rich in germanium, which aids in oxygenating cells. Cancers can't thrive in an oxygen-rich environment.
3) Beets are great for cleansing the liver and blood. (Roots and Tops) Juicing beets is often used as a cancer treatment protocol in Asian communities. Pickling beets in apple cider vinegar is also very helpful.
4) Onions are rich in the potent anti-cancer compound, quercetin. One onion daily inhibits malignant cancer cell growth. And....cooking the onion does not destroy the beneficial properties of quercetin.
5) Eggplants contain bioflavanoids known to inhibit uterine
cancer growth.
6) Bell peppers are rich in vitamin C. They improve the appetite of cancer patients and aid in digestion of important nutrients.
7) Cabbage has been recommended by the National Cancer Institute for cancer prevention. They contain dithiolthiones, compounds which have anti-cancer properties. In addition, cabbage has indoles, which protects against breast and colon cancer.
If you STAY AWAY from WHITE foods and increase the 6 foods listed above, you will go a long way in improving your odds against cancer.

That's not what most oncologists want you to know, but new research just published from Fed Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle paints a different story.
Chemotherapy can undermine itself by causing a rogue response in healthy cells, which could explain why people become resistant.
Scientists discovered a specific protein, WNT 16B, that HELPS cancer cells GROW and invades surrounding healthy tissue. (Most of us don't want to GROW cancer cells and we certainly don't want the cancer cells to INVADE surrounding healthy tissue.)

Holy Smokes! The drugs that are 'supposed' to help kill the cancer is actually increasing the protein that CREATES cancer.
I've said it 'til I'm blue in the face.....and I'll continue to say it until I die.....poisons can't heal. They're not designed to. Poisons are designed to poison.
There are so many wonderful options for safe, effective cancer treatments. And great documentaries, too.
Please do your due diligence and search out answers until you find one that resonates with you. Do not make a choice based on fear.

Reverse Congestive Heart Failure Naturally
For those of you who are following us at Brand New Day Enterprises, you know the foundational premise of what we do is directly related to the concept that we must 'eat well, move well and think well' for a window of time to experience good health.
More times than not, the American Medical Association, funded by the pharmaceutical industry wants us to believe that 'there are pills for every ill'. (There are....but do the pills create health and wellness?)
I was pleased by a research article published on Wednesday, July 31, 2012 by the Journal of the American Medical Association that touted the significant health benefit of moderate aerobic exercise for congestive heart failure patients. In essence, they were stating that it is possible to reverse congestive heart failure naturally.
A Duke University research team followed 2,000 congestive heart failure patients. They found that participants assigned to an exercise program experienced a greater reduction of symptoms and improved cardiac function after three months of exercise than those who did not exercise.
The exercise program consisted of 15-20 minutes of moderate aerobic activity 6 days per week. The participants used treadmills and stationary bikes.
Lead investigator, James Blumenthal, PhD, told the New York Times “It's something that most patients can engage in. It results in improved cardio-respiratory fitness, they have more stamina, and now we see that not only do they derive these physical benefits, but they also derive psychological benefits as well.”
This study found that, in addition to the improvement in cardiac health, 75% of participants noted a signficant improvement in mental health and depression symptoms.
Isn't it great to know that when you choose to 'move well' it also improves your 'think well'. See, two for the price of one. And isn't it even better to know that there is real hope in reversing congestive heart failure?
